FAQ

What devices does Scenic support? iPod touch, iPod touch (2nd generation), iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS
What devices support Virtual Reality viewing mode? iPhone 3GS (Virtual Reality mode uses the device compass). Other devices support Tilt mode. You can simulate Virtual Reality mode by turning your body with the scene's movement as you tilt.
What devices support video scenes? Only the iPhone 3GS can record video scenes and receive video scenes via email. Other devices can play video scenes downloaded from the web.
Can any image be viewed as a scene? Yes, any panoramic image can be imported as a scene.
Can any video be viewed as a scene? No, only a video recorded in Scenic can be imported as a scene. Scenic embeds additional required information in the video file.
Why is Scenic warning me that my video scene is missing frames? You may be turning too fast when you are recording, or your iPhone's compass may not be calibrated. Make sure the compass icon is green while recording, and turn slowly. See the built-in help for details.

Why don't the toolbars disappear when I raise my device to eye level? Scenic uses your device's accelerometer to detect its orientation. You may need to calibrate it. Tap the ? icon in the viewing screen to open viewing help, then scroll down to the Accelerometer section and follow the calibration instructions.
Why isn't Tilt mode working? First make sure you are holding your device upright. The toolbars should not be visible on the screen. Scenic uses your device's accelerometer to detect its tilting. You may need to calibrate it. Tap the ? icon in the viewing screen to open viewing help, then scroll down to the Accelerometer section and follow the calibration instructions.
How can I post scenes on my website for other Scenic users? First, export the raw image or video file by emailing the scene to yourself or saving it to your photo album using Scenic's sharing options. Then simply post a link to the file on your website.
How do I use the built-in web browser to download scenes? Browse the web as usual. Whenever you tap a link that leads to a raw image or video file, Scenic will ask whether you want to download the file as a scene.
